The basic idea of rummy is to form runs and sets from a hand of cards in order to eventually merge all of your cards before your opponents do. For example, a run is a series of thteen patti 51ree or more cards in the same suit, whereas a set is three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. There are several variations of the game, each with its own special rules & subtleties, and it can be played by two to six players. Depending on the variation, players are dealt a set number of cards to start playing rummy, usually seven or ten.
