While a run is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. When they satisfy the necessary requirements, players are allowed to place their sets and rummy games allruns on the table. The game goes on until the draw pile runs out or until one player successfully melds all of their cards. House rules may affect scoring, but generally speaking, players who have unmelded cards in their hands at the end of each round receive points.
