A set number of cards—typically seven or ten—are dealt to players based on the number of players. One card is positioned face-up to begin the discard pilcolour predictione, and the other cards form a draw pile. Taking turns, players try to create legitimate sets or runs by drawing from the draw pile or the discard pile. While a run is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits.
